SECURE SHOPPING GUARANTEE

The Ideal Secure Shopping Guarantee helps to cover you against unauthorised charges on your credit card.

Smart and Safe

From our experience, we know it's important that you have the same confidence when you use your credit card online as you do when you order by phone. That's why we now offer the Ideal Secure Shopping Guarantee - to help protect you from credit card fraud.

Here are the steps we take to ensure that your purchase is safe with us:

Data encryption. To help protect your credit card number and personal information, we encrypt every order. Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble your credit card number and personal information so that they're unreadable by anyone but Ideal Computing.

The Ideal Secure Shopping Guarantee. In the unlikely event that your credit card company holds you liable for unauthorised charges to your account and your bank has limited your refund, Ideal Computing will cover your liability up to £50. Providing that the unauthorised charges were caused through no fault of your own and as a direct result of online purchases at idealComputing.co.uk

The end result? When you buy online with Ideal Computing, you can buy with confidence.

How the guarantee works

In the highly unlikely event that you discover unauthorised charges on your credit card within 60 days of your purchase on idealComputing.co.uk, here's what to do:

Promptly contact your credit card company and report the unauthorised charges. You should ask to speak to a representative of the company's fraud department. They can inform you of the company's fraud claim process and determine whether or not to charge you a personal liability fee.

If your credit card company: (a) determines that the charges were fraudulent and as a direct result of your online purchases at idealComputing.co.uk, and (b) holds you liable for any of the unauthorised charges, and you can truthfully say that you were not at fault (by, for example, writing your pin-number on your card or disclosing it in circumstances which could reasonably be considered unsafe), contact us immediately.

For your convenience, you can contact us by e-mail or by mail. In order to help you, we will need the following information:
Your name
Daytime phone number
Billing address
A copy of the credit card statement in question (please circle fraud charges)
Proof of your credit card company's fraud determination and liability fee
A description of the incident

Send your email to onlineSales@ideal-computing.co.uk

Or mail your letter to: Ideal Computing, 78 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh, EH10 4HG.

We'll protect you.

For security purposes, our online fraud department will confirm your claim. If the fraudulent charges resulted through no fault of your own and as a direct result of using idealComputing.co.uk, we will then credit your credit card up to a maximum of £50 and send you a letter that confirms our reimbursement.
