Video editing PCs differ from home computers as their performance requirements, particularly for components like storage, are significantly different to other machines such as gaming PCs. This PC is specifically designed for a home user who likes to edit footage for home or private use and is our ‘Level 1’ system.
The Intel HD 530 graphics features Intel QuickSync tehcnology which is particularly effective at video transcoding, and the Quad Core Intel® Core i7 Processor will make short work of any project you can throw at it. This is combined with 16GB of fast DDR4 memory for running demanding video editing applications and an incredibly fast Samsung 128GB M.2 Solid State Drive for loading applications and working on projects at full speed. The M.2 connection allows this type of flash drive to work at rates of up to 2,000MB/s – that’s almost four times faster than a normal SATA SSD.
A seperate 2TB 7200rpm hard drive gives a huge amount of storage – enough to store around 90 hours of 4k video*. 6x USB 3.0 ports allow for connection of external flash drives, hard drives and solid state drives for fast transfer, storage, and backup of even more video should you need it! Intel® Gigabit Ethernet also allows uploading and downloading video to and from the cloud as quickly and reliably as possible.
If you want the ability to burn Blu-ray drives in your machine, we can upgrade your DVD writer to a full Blu-ray and DVD writer for only £50**.
